The Mental Health, Addiction and Recovery Services (MHARS) Board of Lorain County is a newly established entity as of July 2019, bringing together the expertise, resources, and proud histories of the Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board of Lorain County (ADAS) and the Lorain County Board of Mental Health (LCBMH).
The people who have been served by the mental health and substance use disorder systems have a common goal, and that is recovery. Consolidating the county’s addiction and mental health organizations will strengthen our ability to coordinate treatment and recovery services. This will improve our clients’ lives, and also improve the lives of their family members.
Joining forces will strengthen our ability to coordinate treatment and recovery services. The goal is that we will maximize delivery of behavioral health services. It means providing the right care, in the right setting, at the right time.
How we Can
This website is simply a placeholder until the full, new website is developed. While the MHARS Board transitions to a unified system, the previous mental health services and addiction services websites are available.
Care for individuals receiving Board-funded mental health or substance use disorder services has continued and will continue during this transition.
Members of the public can continue to use the phone numbers, websites, and other contact information they have used in the past to access care.
